Hubby’s Birthday - continued. Suggestions wanted.

Hubby’s birthday is on Thursday. He’s going to be 40. If you read the first post I put on this second edition Tumblr, you would have seen our discussion on the Kindle. To be honest, I did tell him I’d get it for him if he really wanted, somehow. Of course the one he really wanted was the one that have voice-to-text. The one that isn’t released yet.

Added to this, I would have to go to one of those sites that offers you the use of a US postal address, for a fee and persuade the bank that someone hadn’t hi-jacked my account to spend £100s in the American Amazon not the British one. Because the beggar isn’t available in the UK. Of course not. Not even the first version.

Then he said he wanted the iRex 1000S. Have you seen it? Looks like a big old slate, costs a bloody fortune. The plan, to have something onto which he could convert his work documents to PDFs and have them read to him as he drives home. I’m torn between being impressed to death that he wants such a cool gadget and thinking it would be cheaper to hire someone to sit in the car beside him and read his precious papers for him.

This morning he was STILL thinking about it. This evening he’s gone off the idea. No, I haven’t already gone and ordered one.

My question is: What the hell am I going to buy him?

Seriously, any suggestions would be gratefully received.
