Final installment of today’s outing.
By the time we persuaded Youngest back into the car, after she had lain a few times on the grass. No, she didn’t so much want to stay, she was getting angsty, just she didn’t want to co-operate. I mean, where would be the fun in that?
Thing is, when the trip is over what ever patience Youngest did have is gone. So we had to sing.
We had several versions of Daisy, Daisy. Ranging from me from a desperate and futile attempt by Hubby to sing the right words while 18 and I made up our own seperate versions. All three were sung at full volume. Despite the high temperature Hubby took pity on our fellow road users and did up the windows.
We then moved on to Blowing in the Wind. 18 had a wonderful take on this based on bhagees, curry and last night’s supper. I’m sure you can catch the drift, although personally, I wouldn’t. Just sayin’. 18 refused to be swayed from his song making by his father telling him he hadn’t had bhagees, just the curry.
So our thrity minute trip home was high-lighted with inane singing. 16 was so determined not to be caught up in it he donned his earphones and sang along to NoFX. Yes, that helped.
My family. Still COMPLETELY insane and loving it.
