There are kids’ programmes on the box and the guy is singing:

- Oh you won’t be cold in your coat and scarf

- ‘Cos a coat and scarf will keep you warm.

- Oh you won’t be cold in a coat and scarf …

So I had to sing:

‘Cos a coat and scarf will make you barf.

14 just looks at me.

“You make yourself laugh. I feel sorry for you. No one will be laughing at you in the old people’s home you know. That’s if we can even be bothered to put you in one. We might just leave you on the street and give you a tenner each week to treat yourself.”
